How to reuse your custom Talaskye press-on nails

You now have your custom Talaskye press-on nail set (yay!). Wondering how to keep them looking fresh for next time? With a little care, you can maintain their appearance so they look just as good as when you received them. Here are some tips for how to reuse them in the future:

Avoid acetone

One crucial rule to remember is to steer clear of acetone or acetone-based products when removing your Talaskye press-on nails. Since acetone breaks down gel, and your press-ons are entirely made of gel materials, using acetone will ruin them, making them unusable in the future. The best way to remove your press-on nails is by soaking them in warm, soapy water mixed with a gentle oil like coconut or olive oil.

Follow proper removal techniques

Soak your hands in warm water to loosen the bond between your natural nail and the press-ons. This will make removing any excess glue easier. Then, gently file away any remaining glue with a buffing block, mini nail file, or an e-file. If some glue residue remains, don't worry, just focus on smoothing it out so that the press-ons can sit flush against your nail bed during the next application.

Store the press-on nails as soon as possible

After removing and cleaning your press-ons, don't forget to store them properly. Storing them in a secure place will prevent losing any nails. Arrange them in order (from thumb to pinky) so that you can easily find the right size for each finger next time you apply them.

Wear protective gloves

While press-on nails are durable, it's a good idea to take extra precautions to keep them in perfect condition. Activities like cooking, cutting and grating food can inadvertently scratch, damage or chip your press-ons. To safeguard them, consider wearing gloves during tasks that could potentially damage your nails. Also, prolonged exposure to cleaning chemicals can gradually deteriorate your press-on nails over time.

Avoid using them as tools

Although luxury press-on nails are strong and resilient, resist the temptation to use them as tools. Using them for tasks like prying or opening containers can bend, deform, or even cause them to unexpectedly come off, potentially damaging your natural nails. Refrain from applying unnecessary pressure on your press-ons to prevent any unexpected mishaps.
